Privacy Policy
How Graffiti Run for Android handles your data. Short version: the game runs on your device, does not ask you to create an account, and does not send personal information to us. The only third party involved is Google AdMob, which serves the optional "watch an ad to try again" video.
Who we are
Graffiti Run (the “App”) is developed and published by Jonathan Rosell (Johnytiger)(“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the App handles when you install and play it on an Android device, and how you can reach us with questions. It applies to the App as distributed on Google Play.
What we collect
We do not collect personal information ourselves. The App does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or any account credentials. There is no sign-up, no login, and no server operated by us that receives data from the App. The only data that leaves your device is what the advertising service described in section 04 collects in order to show ads.
The App keeps the following game data on your device only, so the game can remember your progress between sessions:
- High scores, best runs, and rep (rank) progress per district
- Daily mission status and completion counts
- Unlocked districts and cleared rounds
- Settings such as sound, music, and vibration preferences
This data is stored in the App's private storage on your device. It is not transmitted to us, and it is removed when you uninstall the App or clear its storage from Android settings.
Permissions
The App does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, precise location, storage outside its own sandbox, or any other sensitive Android permission. It uses the following standard permissions:
- Internet / network state: required to load ads. The game itself plays fully offline.
- Advertising ID (
com.google.android.gms.permission.AD_ID): lets the ad service use your device's resettable advertising ID. You can reset or delete this ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
If a future version needs another permission (for example, to save a screenshot to your gallery), it will ask you at the moment the feature is used, and this policy will be updated first.
Third-party services
The App includes the following third-party software. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy, linked below:
- Google AdMob: Serves the optional rewarded video ad you can watch after losing a run to try again. AdMob may collect your device’s advertising ID, IP address, device model and OS version, coarse location derived from IP, and ad interaction data to serve, measure, and (where you have consented) personalize ads. Privacy policy ↗
How ads work in the App. Ads are never forced on you mid-run. When a run ends, you can choose to watch a rewarded video ad to continue from where you lost. Declining simply ends the run. We receive only aggregated, anonymous reporting from the ad service (views and revenue totals); we never see who watched an ad.
Your ad choices.Where required by law (for example in the EU, UK, and certain US states), the App will ask for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change that choice later from the game's settings. You can also opt out of ad personalization or reset your advertising ID device-wide in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads, and learn more at adssettings.google.com ↗.
Google Play.Because the App is distributed through Google Play, Google may collect device and usage information (such as installs, crashes, and Android version) under Google's own terms. We can see this only as aggregated, anonymous statistics in the Google Play Console, and we cannot identify you from it. See Google's privacy policy ↗ for details.
Children
The App is a cartoon-style arcade game intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ads in the App are served by Google AdMob under Google's own policies for families and age-appropriate content. If you believe a child has provided us personal information by other means (for example, by email), contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and deletion
Game data lives only on your device for as long as the App is installed. To delete it, uninstall the App or clear its data from Android's app settings. We hold no copy, so there is nothing further for us to delete on request. Data collected by the ad service is retained under Google's retention policy, and you can reset your advertising ID at any time to unlink past ad activity from your device.
Security
Since the App does not transmit personal data, the main risk to your game data is loss of the device itself. The App stores its save data in Android's private app storage, which other apps cannot read without root access.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal data, or to object to its processing (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California). We do not hold any personal data about you, so requests directed at us are automatically satisfied. For data handled by the ad service, use the consent prompt in the App, Android's ad settings, or Google's privacy controls linked above. If you still have a question or request, contact us using the address below.
Changes to this policy
If the App ever starts collecting data, adds online features, or bundles a third-party service, we will update this page before the change ships and revise the effective date at the top. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
